Phew!! What a ride that project gave me! I started prototyping for this automata 20 years or so ago. The latest version presented there took me 2 years of intense building. It is inspired from traditional bird boxes automatas which used be made 200 years ago where I used to live in Switzerland.

On its perch, a tiny bird flaps its wings, turns its head and opens its beak with its tail fluttering. The bird swivels on itself delivering while whistling a chime.
